April 8th 6:30-8pm – Grow Your Own Salad Bowl Class
Get Growing your own salad – from seed- this season!
Step by step seed starting instructions; along with the seeds, soil and container to get you off to a great start! You’ll learn about different varieties of lettuces, and how to grow them big before they bolt!
You’ll plant your very own Container Salad Bowl Garden in class.
You’ll also learn about tending, common problems and how to handle them. Plus how to move the plants outside, to either continue growing in the pots, or transplanting into a garden for season-long salads.
Details
Local garden speaker and coauthor of Small-Scale Homesteading, Michelle Bruhn of Forks in the Dirt, will be teaching a series of classes in person this spring. The Anchor Coffee House will be our cozy yet spacious meeting place. Doors open at 6:15 so we’ll have some time for herbal tea and treats before starting the class.
