“We raise a special flock of turkeys each year for our fresh turkey Thanksgiving program. These whole turkeys have never been frozen, but are kept at a “deep-chill” temperature (right at 32° F) so that they stay fresh for your holiday meal.”

Ferndale Market was originally founded by Dale and Fern – hence the name. Dale practiced the science of hatching baby turkeys. He spent countless hours working with his laying hens, refining his process of hatching healthy poults, and delivering these day-old turkeys to area farms. In 1989 second generation farmer Dick took over and started the shift towards meat production, selling to a local meat processor. Just over a decade ago, third generation farmer, John moved back home after college and started the move to direct sales and opened an on site farm store- the beloved Ferndale Market store.
