These local plant sales will start your garden off right! Good for your garden, the pollinators, your harvests and the community.
Plants grown for the sales I mention are never treated with Neonicotinoid pesticides, are non-GMO, always locally raised by experts- and the sales directly benefit some great gardening programs.

Local Plant Sales List:
AFSA School Plant Sale
May 7th – 3:30- 6:30, May 8th – 9:00- 6:00, May 9th – 9:00- 12:00 at the AFSA High School (Vadnais Heights) Greenhouse
Held in the School’s greenhouse, plants (mostly annuals) are all grown by AFSA students and supports a variety of FFA activities at the school.
Lake Country School Plant Sale
May 7th & 8th from 8:30-5:30 at Lake Country Montessori School
Held in the school parking lot, featuring organically grown vegetables, herbs, flowers, and native plants. Preorder now to secure the best selection.
Friends School Plant Sale
May 8th 7:00–6:30, May 9th 8:30–6:00, May 10th 9:00–2:00
at the State Fair Grounds
With 1,000’s of plant varieties this may be the largest single plant sale in the U.S. It is a fundraising event for the Friends School of Minnesota. Plants are grown as naturally as possible, 80% from local growers.

Ramsey County Master Gardeners Plant Sale
May 16th 9 – 2
At Aldrich Arena
*Get there early if you want the best selection! Over 300 varieties of plants including annual flowers, natives, perennials, herbs, vegetables and houseplants grown by local master gardeners, neonic free and grown in sterile potting soil to stop the spread of jumping worms. The proceeds from this sale benefit the University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener programs in Ramsey County. Master Gardeners on hand (LIKE ME- wink wink) to answer questions.
Hennepin County master Gardeners Plant Sale

Landscape Revival Plant Sale + Expo

at Rockpoint Church Lake Elmo
This sale focuses on locally grown NATIVE plants for pollinators grown by local growers without any systemic insecticides. Also, no cultivars sold, so only straight native plants.
Wild Ones Plant Sale
May 30th + 31st
at 3974 Fairview Ave N in Arden Hills, MN, 55112.
The “Big River, Big Woods” chapter of Wild Ones is again holding their annual plant sale, with 50 varieties of native Trees, shrubs, wildflowers, ferns, sedges, grasses available in many sizes.
